The Story Behind

In 2013, a single spark changed everything: my very first Canon camera. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a love for freezing time, capturing light, and documenting the beauty in everyday life.

Long before I picked up a camera, I understood the weight a photograph can carry. Growing up, I watched my grandfather battle Alzheimer’s, yet his eyes would light up whenever we brought out photos of my beloved grandmother. I watched my parents look through their wedding gallery and instantly return to the emotions of that day. I learned early that photographs aren’t just images—they’re keepsakes, legacies, and anchors to our most cherished memories.

Photography became my way of truly seeing people. While earning my degree in Journalism with a focus in Photography, I immersed myself in the wedding industry, later serving as an Executive Venue Coordinator from 2023 to 2024. That experience taught me how to navigate wedding days with grace, attention to detail, and genuine care.

Along the way, I saw how transactional the wedding industry could feel, and I knew I wanted to create something different.

After moving to Northwest Arkansas with my husband, Tate, Darcy Leigh Photo was built with a purpose: to create an experience rooted in authentic, relational connection.

Today, Darcy Leigh Photo is about celebrating your milestones and preserving genuine joy. Because when you feel known, comfortable, and understood, your photos tell a story you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
